Grant Writing for Non-Profits

Why work with me?

Unlike revenue from donations or events, grants offer financial support to expand your organization’s reach and impact by funding new projects, outreach efforts, and community services that would otherwise remain under-resourced.

When you work with me, you empower your team to focus on strategies and operations, while keeping overhead costs low. I’ll develop a compelling proposal that aligns with the funder’s priorities, improving your chances to obtain critical funding in increasingly competitive award cycles. Let me deal with the complexities of proposal writing, budget creation, and compliance, ensuring that your application meets all requirements and deadlines. With my support, we’ll build your capacity to secure financial resources and increase overall impact.

How it works

There are two service models that I provide for non-profit teams.

Retainer services

A retainer ensures ongoing grant writing support by securing a set number of hours or projects each month for your organization. With this model, you pay a low monthly fee, which guarantees my availability and allows me to prioritize your funding needs. Individual grant projects would then be offered at a discounted rate. This approach is ideal for non-profits that regularly apply for grants—typically under $100,000—from foundations, corporations, and other non-government funding bodies. It eliminates the need to find time in my schedule for each new application and can be a cost-effective solution in the long run.

Project-based work

For organizations that pursue funding less frequently, project-based support may be the better fit. In this model, we collaborate when a specific grant opportunity arises, working within a reasonable timeline to develop a strong application. This option is best suited for non-profits applying for larger grants—typically over $100,000—from government or major philanthropic funders. To ensure alignment and a smooth process, we’ll meet virtually to build rapport and discuss the project background, expectations, and key priorities.

Not sure which option is right for you? Let’s discuss your needs and find the best approach to support your funding goals.

Project fees

For a full project, costs vary based on the funder and the complexity of the application. Final fees will depend on the scope and specific requirements of each grant.

I believe in creating equitable access to grant writing services that benefit community. To that end, I offer a sliding scale fee structure, recognizing that systemic barriers can impact the financial resources of underrepresented communities and leaders.
