Jenn Rossiter (she/her)
As a full-time freelance editor and grant writer, I leverage my background to refine academic and non-profit deliverables. Since 2019, I’ve specialized in stylistic editing, copy editing, and grant writing. I work on a wide range of material crafted to drive social impact and advance research.
My areas of expertise centre around social sciences, humanities, and health. In particular, I specialize in systemic inequity, child welfare, socio-cultural identity, policy, advocacy, and public health. Alongside the knowledge and experience gained from my degrees (development studies, York University; political science, University of Alberta) and professional certification (editing, Simon Fraser University), I draw from fifteen years in academic research and administration and over ten years with non-profits and capacity-building.
Contact me if you produce:
- Academic and scholarly material (e.g., grant proposals, journal articles, book chapters, dissertations, monographs)
- Non-profit material (e.g., funding applications, research reports, advocacy or policy materials, annual reports, newsletters)
I welcome projects from an array of genres and sectors. Reach out if you think your material might be a good fit!
I am grateful to live and work on land within Treaty 6 and the Métis North Saskatchewan River territories. By acknowledging that we are all Treaty people, we remain accountable to building positive relationships, being good neighbours, and caring for the land we are on.
